Carolyn Turner was born in Payette Idaho and raised on the family homestead south of Fruitland. She attended grades 1st through 12th in Fruitland before attending Link's School of Business in Boise. During her summer breaks she went back home to help her parents on the farm.
At Link's School of Business she took IBM's secretarial course and received her Associates Degree in Business. It was around this time where she met her husband, John, and married him a year later. They made their home on the Turner Brothers Ranch where they raised three wonderful sons. She now has 10 grandchildren, 5 boys & 5 girls and she enjoys them a lot!
In addition to raising their sons, Carolyn worked as a waitress, school bus driver, transcriptionist, and at age 40 became a certified nurse's aid. Carolyn also spent many years volunteering in many activities such as; classrooms, PTA, teaching cooking & sewing, 4-H, Boy Scouts Secretary, T-ball, and held state and local volunteer positions for the Oregon Farm Bureau. Carolyn also owned her own business for nearly 30 years in Sales and Marketing.
In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys singing for her church, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening, remodeling, helping others, and playing with her grandchildren.
